Faire la Nouba. Kiara and Kovu are like second cousins or something. At the Opera. Big Member 10, Points Dopeless Hopefiend. In depth search for philosophical meaning from the animation in the Lion King.

Like all Disney double acts, they work best as a team, riffing off each other to create some much needed comedy when Simba seems to have lost everything. Through his new friends, Simba learns to let go of his past, and all the pain and guilt that comes with it. Hakuna Matata. But this is where the pair are also destructive. He must know that Scar could be making his Pride suffer, but he instead chooses to frolick around in the jungle with Timon and Pumbaa, honing his singing voice.
Nala is a quiet force in The Lion King. From their time as kids together, she shares his sense of adventure, and gains his trust.
She grows up, and learns what it takes to survive. Now he knows how to relieve his guilt, he has to learn how to take responsibility, and Nala is the key to getting him there. Present from the moment Simba is born, he watches him grow from afar, but keeps an elusive distance until the moment is right.
You get the feeling that something bigger than just a gust of wind tells Rafiki that Simba is alive, right at the moment when he is needed the most. Plus as per his fight with Scar, Simba was malnourished, had just been wounded by hyenas and then blinded by Scar, it was hardly a fair fight to start with.
Scar would have been much better off. By logic Mufasa should win. And an older scar gave Simba a decent fight. Zira and her forces only attacked when they figured Simba was wounded from a previous encounter. As for the lions dog pilling Simba in 2, all he could really manage is to run away, nothing Mufasa, and probably even Scar couldn't pull off.
That said, he was taking them on even after getting ambushed, he only ran off after he had fallen from a cliff, the 2nd time he was pretty much dominating them and then Zira came in with a cheapshot. Screw feats. Simba still felt like he was in mufasa's shadow mid lk2. That should tell all right there. Scar wasnt scared of Simba as he was Mufasa because he knew Simba was still a young adult male and can easily give him a fight.
However in LK2, Simba got just as big if not bigger than Mufasa. Simba in II was supposed to have to have a climactic duel to the death with Zira- a lioness, ffs. I have no doubt that King Mufasa, who for one is much larger than Simba and grew up on a far better diet, would pummel Zira with little effort.
Besides, Scar nearly killed Simba in a fair fight at the end of the film whereas in the beginning it was implied Scar was FAR below Mufasa in physical strength. Mufasa wins, and it's not exactly a great fight either. He was going to be a rouge lion. They changed this, obviously, but kept the drawings. So instead they said that Mufasa's and Scar's father had black mane in the story books.
Genetically then it would be possible to have one son with black mane and the other with red. Disney did not write those storybooks. Alex Simmons did. Vitalani posted over a year ago. Theres alot of info on this but here are a few good links Mane color is just like eye colour or any other looks feature that is inherited generation to generation, more or less randomly. Unfortunately, I can't remember where I heard that from, so I can't confirm if it's from a reliable source.
But if it is, that might be why they look so different; their character designs may have been finalized before it was decided that they'd be brothers. Like I said, I don't know if this information is true, but if it is then that's my theory for now. Of course, a biological reason could simply be because of how their parents looked, for all we know. Maybe Mufasa mostly took after one parent while Scar mostly took after the other.
That'd be biologically possible. Also, is it ever mentioned that they both had the same parents? I don't recall. Maybe they were only half brothers, for all we know. WaltDisney25 said: Scar's Black Mane represents the darkness in Scar's soul whereas the color Red represents the goodness or light that Mufasa and Simba have shown.

Mufasa looks stupid o. Uru is female she dose'nt have mane Fanbop posted over a year ago. Uru is a lioness. Lionesses don't have a mane. OceanCoast said: I never saw the whole thing but wasn't one of the cubs in the second LK movie his coloring, or had some kind of relation to him?? Though you don't usually see a lion with a black mane, they do vary in shades between prides. This happens a lot in the REAL animal kingdom, usually a trait passed down through the males, same way some Siberian Tigers turn out white while others in the same litter come out orange.
In the second movie Kovu is scares adopted son and looks just like him, very true : kjoker posted over a year ago. Kovu does not look like Scar.
Kovu's mane is brown while Scar's is black. Kovu's fur is auburn while Scar's is reddish orange. Kovu's eyes are emerald green yet Scar's eyes are bright green.
