This can be learned from the flight trainer at your faction's city in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms: Skydancer Shun is the flying trainer for the Horde and is located on the landing platform at the Shrine of Two Moons in the north.
Improve this answer. I wasted a ton of time trying to get there on foot. Note that you cannot travel here on foot directly from the Jade Forest zone. You will need to run around through the other zones the long way to get around the mountains. Or find a flight point that connects to the city. Screenshot of the Week. Submit your photo Hall of fame. You can't even buy flight training for a second leveling character like you could in Wrath of the Lich King.
Comment by lightclaw Just so it is perfectly clear, there are no prerequisites for interacting with the trainers that teach this skill. Golden Lotus rep will reduce the cost of flight training and there is a quest line that leads you to the zone, but neither is necessary. You can get into the Vale by jumping off of the Serpent's Spine wall into the zone and running to the town get onto the wall at the Shado Pan Fallback in Kun Lai Summit and head south a bit.
Until you start the Golden Lotus quests, there are very few mobs to avoid. The level 91 elite mob that you'll pass is completely avoidable if you stay close to the wall after jumping down into the Vale. Comment by Twodotsonekb Costs 2,g as a goblin. Comment by Can you buy this and ship it to your alts once you ding 90? I believe you could buy a book in Dalaran that was BOA once your main hit the level cap 2 expansions ago? I can understand they want you to ride everywhere on your mains, but it is a bit of a drag to have to do that on all your alts too?
Comment by Agathos11 While it is true that you don't technically have to do anything other than get a lift from someone with Pandaria flight training and a mount that has room for a passenger or simply jump the wall as mentioned below, I wanted to 'earn my way' so to speak on my main to get in and purchase this flight training.
I did have trouble figuring out exactly how to do this--so, I thought I'd give this quick rundown of the quest chain I gleaned from a few excellent posts in other areas. You do a triple fight there in the temple for A Celestial Experience. If others are doing this at the same time you are, simply tab target until your vision is selected and then pull them to the side to fight them.
It was a black and white cloudy mess when I did it, until I realized my guy would follow me to the side of the room for the fight. After you beat each of the challenges, you are given A Witness to History. This will take you right to the gates and open the way to the city so you can reach your trainer! BTW, check the 'Taught By' tab above for the flight trainer nearest you for the exact location of your trainer! Hope this helps! Comment by chantila Tks for the info but how do i get there?
Comment by But, does this require you to train all the way through Master Riding skill or can you get it with just the basic flying skill Expert Riding? I have only leveled players that have all the riding, but some of my alts do not. Anyone know the answer? Comment by alexko9 Does require level 90, sadly.
Comment by dinged 90 yesterday, and I was at about 8k gold. Comment by naldira as of patch 5. Comment by larrieuxa this isn't necessary to waste your gold on Comment by Sfets So it appears that you can skip the Quest and land at your faction Base anytime with a fresh 90 lvl.
Just opening Eastwind rest flight path and the shadow pan fallback flight path worked for me. Comment by TreeroyJ It costs 2,g before discounts. It is possible to get Golden Lotus rep before buying this, but not recommended since you'll be at level 90 and you have better things to be doing. To get to the trainer, hire a Mage and get a portal there. Much easier than running about in Pandaria! Comment by When you reach 90, you are given the flight path.
Comment by corners For anyone lucky enough until now to now have had to buy any mount training skills you will be forced to buy all the mount trainings to get this one. Im a warlock and also have a season 2 glad mount. Ive never had to buy any riding skills except cold weather flying.
