Each student is provided 3 all you can eat meals a day. Common fare includes fresh deli sandwiches, chicken alfredo, fresh fruit salad, spring greens salad, burritos, brownies Student's don't just get hungry and thirsty at meal time so we provide granola bars, apples, oranges, bananas, juice, coffee, tea, water and soda all day.
These facilities are available to students when not in training. Students are encouraged to bring their laptop computers to skills week if they have one. Wi-Fi is available throughout the training center. If the agency or institution requests, we will send a certificate of liability directly to them to verify your coverage. If a student is unable to obtain the necessary 10 patient contacts with an ambulance agency, fire department or hospital, we can arrange for those contacts during practical skills week.
Realistic Moulaged Scenarios. During skills week, students in teams of two, respond and treat realistic patients with a variety of medical conditions and trauma injuries. A shuttle bus or van depending on the class size will be waiting for students at the airport. Contacting your instructor is easy. You can email our instructors any time, use the message board in the virtual classroom or schedule a phone or live virtual meeting as needed.
All inquiries for technical support will have a response within 12 business hours. All inquiries related to course material will have a response within 48 hours. Please indicate your current CPR status during registration. Clinical rotations are accomplished during the skills week or within two weeks after the hands-on skills week is completed. Clinicals must be completed at this time. Clinical requirements for each student will be scheduled during the didactic portion of the course.
All clinicals are scheduled with agencies in Ada County. If you would like to schedule clinical time with an agency outside of Ada County this can be arranged but it must be done with cooperation between the outside agency and Idaho Medical Academy. Please let us know if you are interested in this option at the beginning of your didactic portion of the EMT course. At the conclusion of the hands-on skills week you will have the opportunity to participate in the NREMT psychomotor test.

Students must be past chapter 32 in the course to be eligible to attend. Students must email courses socalemt. At the end of the didactic portion of the online program students are required to travel to our West Bridgewater, MA campus for six days of intensive skills training and testing. You will be trained to handle a multitude of real-world situations through extensive hands-on training and instruction in our state-of-the-art simulation labs. On day six, students who successfully complete the didactic and practical portions of the course, will take the skills exam for NREMT EMT certification.

In the classroom, you will engage in your emergency medical technician didactic and hands on skills education. Our unique online course management system allows students access to all handouts, powerpoint presentations, videos, and podcasts of each lecture at any time during the program. Throughout your program, you will be trained to handle a multitude of real-world situations through extensive hands-on training and instruction in our state-of-the-art simulation labs.
Students who successfully complete the didactic and practical portions of the course will be eligible for the National Registry exam.
