I was looking at either a Chopard Mille Miglia Black chronograph, possibly from a jeweler or eBay retailer. Any suggestions? I realize that both of those are sporty I do like classic though. Every word of help is appreciated. The Hublot Flyback does indeed use an movement; in fact, it uses the very same outsourced movement as the Chopard.
Both of these watches are nothing more than exercises in marketing, which is exactly what you be paying for if you purchase either of them a large company advertising budget. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra dough and buy a Rolex Daytona. After all, both the Chopard and the Hublot are nothing more than expensive Rolex knockoffs. I don consider myself a snob; I consider myself an educated man.

Previously, I have owned typical watches for my age group digitals, Fossils -- watches that are decent for teenagers.
But, I was thinking that for college and beyond, I should step it up to a watch that perhaps even the Watch Snob could respect. I had been thinking about the Omega Seamaster; however, since I so new to the horological styles, I was hoping that maybe you could weigh in? Young man, I respect your desire to not wear a typical watch for teenagers.
The Omega Seamaster is a solid performer and many men twice your age would be envious of it. Isn that what buying an expensive watch is all about? However, in the same price range, even from the same manufacturer, you could own a true classic, a model that will never go out of style and has tremendous provenance to boot: the Omega Speedmaster Professional. This watch was worn by the Apollo Astronauts on the moon, it beat out several other chronographs to become NASA standard issue including one from Rolex and it is nothing short of spectacular.
It is perhaps the ultimate chronograph and it is relatively affordable. This is one watch that you will be able to keep and enjoy for the rest of your life, even if you do end up moving into the world of Vacheron Constantin, Rolex and Panerai. How come you don post Ice-Watch on your website? Not good enough for the Watch Snob? This very young brand of watches will be the next big hit.
